Laying the Groundwork
Before Morrisette Packaging officially began, W.F. Morrisette Sr. spent 17 years selling paper bags for Gulf States Paper. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for a business rooted in product knowledge, customer relationships, and an understanding of the packaging industry.


Morrisette Is Founded
Morrisette is founded with a focus on toilet tissue and paper bags—products W.F. Morrisette Sr. knew best. Toilet tissue becomes the company’s first and leading product line, marking the start of a customer-first distribution business.


Building a Distribution Company
What began as a focused paper business steadily grows into a distribution company offering hundreds of packaging categories, expanding its reach and capabilities across the Southeast.
1962 – Company founded
South Eugene – First brick-and-mortar location established
1977 – Hickory, NC location opens
1978 – Reidsville, NC location opens

Regional Expansion
Morrisette continues expanding its footprint to better serve customers across North Carolina.
1982 – Raleigh, NC location opens
1989 – Charlotte, NC location opens

A New Home
Morrisette relocates to its current Bryan Park location, positioning the company for continued growth and operational scalability.

The early 2000s mark a period of strategic expansion through acquisitions, strengthening Morrisette’s capabilities, reach, and product offerings.

Morrisette takes a major step forward by opening the Greensboro, NC Design Center, signaling a shift toward packaging design, innovation, and engineered solutions—not just distribution.

2020 – Morrisette launches in-house kitting services, allowing greater control, customization, and fulfillment support for customers.
